Carmon McGee received her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1995. She has held a license in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since January 2002. Carmon specializes in high-conflict divorce cases; family discord; parenting issues; marital problems; adolescent issues; trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders, especially highly anxious children. Carmon is certified in a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and is currently receiving training for therapeutic yoga. In addition, Carmon, along with Chelsea Wakefield, Ph.D, developed a model for parenting challenging children.
