At Crossroads Counseling Center, we provide mental health assessments as well as formal psychological evaluations. Many of our patients who turn to us in the Hickory, North Carolina area, begin the process with an assessment or evaluation. Our assessments & evaluations are conducted by licensed, knowledgeable, and experienced professionals dedicated to providing excellent service at all phases of the counseling process.
During the counseling process, we provide a variety of assessments, conducted by your clinician, to assist with identifying your strengths and needs, to identify applicable diagnoses, and for treatment planning. Examples of this include assessments to determine diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD.
While some assessments may be completed during the counseling process, there may be occasion for a formal psychological evaluation. Our licensed psychologists are trained and experienced in conducting formal psychological evaluations, with a written report, for a variety of clinical needs and situations. These may include Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations to assist with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Personality Disorders, Complex PTSD / Trauma, and ID/DD. We also provide Psychoeducational Evaluations to identify the presence of a learning disorder as well as to assess an individual’s strengths and weaknesses in learning abilities.
